Build Season 2012 – Week 4 Recap

Week four of our build season was especially busy for the CAD Team, who stayed after school from 3-9 on almost all weekdays to work drawing up the robot, the control board, the Lazy Susan, the shooter, and the rollers on CAD. The other teams met on some of the weekends and all day Saturday to work on both engineering and non-engineering jobs for the FIRST robotics season.

The Chassis Team finished the chassis, and are thinking about adding breaks to prevent the robot from rolling back on the bridge.

The Programming Team got the camera to work and worked on a lot of processing for the robot.

The Animation Team worked on modelling and drawing.

The Marketing and Website Team organized and edited the website, worked on print designs for T-Shirts and business cards, and made safety cards and pit passes.

The Photo and Video Team worked on taking and uploading photos for the website and on brainstorming ideas for a team commercial.

The Lambot Mentoring Team talked  with the Lambots in Mexico again on Saturday to help them with their build season strategies.

The Field Team worked on backboards and on finishing the almost complete field, and they also used their bridge for chassis tests.

The Simulation Team are still waiting on the other teams to finish so they can make their replica robot.

The Systems Team are working on controlling the robot’s slightly heavy weight.
