2016 FRC Blogs: Build Week 6
The last week of build has been extremely busy for the AdamBots. The engineering teams have been very focused on completing the robot. To that end, the CAD Team is finishing dimensioning parts. The Mechanical Teams have been fabricating and assembling the arm and shooter mechanisms for the competition robots. They have also tested climbing and defenses on the practice robots and making the cross braces on the chassis to mount the mechanisms. The Electrical Team has been building controls boards for the competition robots. The Programming Team has been testing code and working on the autonomous code. The Field Team is making a cart for the Cyber Cats buttons, and making and painting stands to support the robot. Lastly, the Strategy & Scouting Team has been preparing to scout the Palmetto Regional and is working on a form of communication between the scouting and drive teams.
The business side of the team has also been occupied with final preparations for competition. The Chairman’s Team has been working on the Chairman’s video and presentation while the Business Plan Team is practicing for their presentation to judges in the pits. The Marketing Team has been getting feedback about the Meet the AdamBots and Cyber Cats Event and working on the newsletter for February. Finally, the Project Management Team is scheduling and working to get the robot completed on time.
On the media-focused business teams, the Photo/Video Team has been editing the Chairman’s video and retaking student pictures for the website. The Animation Team is working on the Dave Lavery Animation Competition and is almost finished with all the character models. The Digital Media Team finished updating all student and mentor pages and is working on Media and Technology Innovation Award. Lastly, the Imagery Team is working on printing posters for the pit.
The AdamBots are excited for Bag and Tag Day on February 23rd. We are looking forward to our first competition in just two weeks!
