2017 FRC Blogs: Build Week 6
Our build season is done! At 9:34 PM on Tuesday night, the AdamBots closed our robot within its bag, marking its completion until our first competition. To reach this position, the whole team has been putting in extra hours. The Mechanical Teams finished systems for driving the robot, manipulating game objects, and climbing the rope at the end of the match. The Electrical Team attached all the motors and pneumatics, the CAD Team designed parts to better control game objects, and the Programming Team tested their code with the competition robot. The competition robot was also used by the Drive Team to practice on the field. For the new competition pit, new poles were prepared by the Field Build Team. Animation continued to refine their project to ready it for public viewing.
The business teams also remained busy. The Imagery Team worked on sponsor banners and decals, the AdamBots standard, and posters for our pit. Photo/Video made a new weekly video update as usual, but also started to create a reveal video for our robot. The Chairman’s Team finalized their presentation script and began to prepare for Meet the AdamBots. Multimedia Communications met with each team leader to finish up work on this open house. Lastly, Business Planning finalized the team Business Plan in addition to practicing their presentation.
This Saturday, the AdamBots are holding an open house—Meet the AdamBots—for anyone interested in the team—teachers, parents, sponsors, potential members and partners, or anyone else who would like to see what Team 245 is all about. We are hosting the event at Adams High School starting at 2:00 in the media center, where we will present our team. From 2:30-3:00, we will have a tour of our work space. Following this, we will demonstrate our robots in the senior area until 3:30. If you would like to come, RSVP here.
The AdamBots will have our first competition from March 2nd to 4th at the Kettering 1 District. We are excited to see our hard work in action!
