The build season for the AdamBots is in full swing. The Mechanical Teams are nearing completion of the practice robot. Among them, Mechanical One finished the chassis, Mechanical Two attached its systems to the rest of the robot, and Mechanical Three tested its mechanisms. Members of the Drive Team practiced together. They worked on controlling the robot under limited visibility, which will be a factor in real matches. The Field Build Team designed an updated competition pit and ordered the necessary parts, and the CAD Team worked on the electrical board’s design. Even after submitting their video, the Animation Team is continuing to refine their work to present to others.

The Photo/Video Team has been working with the Chairman’s Team to finish the video award submission. Business Planning has begun practicing for presenting to judges at competitions. The Imagery Team has been working on projects such as new t-shirts and decals displaying our partners. Multimedia Communications is finishing the annual website updates and preparing for Meet the AdamBots Day.

Meet the AdamBots is a tour of the AdamBots facilities, displaying our robots and other presentations after build season. We invite sponsors, parents, and anyone else interested in our team to come on February 25 for this event.

Additionally, the AdamBots went to McGregor Elementary School to unnamed demonstrate our robot at their science fair. As one of our outreach programs, demonstrations like these inspire younger students to pursue their interest in STEAM. We will continue with our outreach programs throughout the year ahead.
