2017 FRC Blogs: Kettering 1st District Event
This past weekend, the AdamBots competed at the Kettering 1 District Event. We were seeded in 5th place after qualifications, with a record of eight wins and four losses. As the 4th alliance captain, we moved on to the elimination rounds alongside team 5697, the Bearcats and team 6098, blrobot. In the quarterfinals, we were unfortunately eliminated after three matches.
At the competition, we were awarded with the FIRST Pit Safety Award as well as a the Peer Review Award from one of the other teams competing, the Titanium Tigers.
The AdamBots are also incredibly proud to announce that we were awarded with the Kettering
University District 1 Chairman’s Award! The Chairman’s Award is FIRST’s most prestigious award and is given to the team that best exemplifies what FIRST is all about. This award is huge because it means…THE ADAMBOTS ARE GOING TO STATES! We will be competing with our robot as well as for the District Champion Chairman’s Award.
Thank you to all of the parents and alumni that came out to support us this past weekend. We will compete again in Escanaba March 16-18. You can keep up with us on Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, or Facebook.
