2017 FRC Blogs: Troy District Event
This weekend, from March 31st to April 1st, the Adambots participated in the Troy District Competition in Troy Athens High school. Throughout Friday, we played in 9 matches, winning three and losing six. We ended up the 26th ranked team, so we had to work hard the next day.
On Saturday, all three of our matches were victories, leaving us ranked 17th out of 42 teams. We were picked by the 6th ranked alliance captain, the Hammerheads, Team 226. Along with Crevolution, Team 2851, we faced the 3rd ranked alliance. We narrowly lost in the quarterfinal tiebreaker. However, our hard work and determination took us far and we are proud to have succeeded as much as we did in the competition!
Other accomplishments we achieved were winning the Imagery Award! Our robot decals, new pit structure, posters, and uniforms all gave us the cohesive look necessary for this award. Additionally, for her efforts in keeping the Adambots and the event safe, our safety captain Aliza King was awarded the Star of the Day award!
