IMG_2619 (2) Our 2017 OCCRA season concluded on November 29th with a banquet. We gathered with the other county robotics teams at Oakland Schools to celebrate the past three months of robotics. Throughout the night, key sponsors, mentors, and teachers were recognized, as well as each of the participating students. Teams also determined one Most Valuable Player and two Honorable Mentions. We are proud to award Trinity Fung as our MVP, and Gabe Kubiak and Michaela Fung as Honorable Mentions!

The Oakland Schools Foundation presents one team each year with the Foundation Award for promoting technical education and the other values of OCCRA. At the County Championship, we became Foundation Finalists, alongside International Academy East, Avondale, Notre Dame Prep, and Pontiac Central. The night ended with the Wings of Fire from Pontiac Central earning the Foundation Award.

This season, we won four judged awards, 2nd place, Championship Finalists, and Foundation Finalists, continuing to make 2017 one of the most distinguished years for the AdamBots. We’re excited for the kickoff of the 2018 FIRST season on January 6th!
