Fall 2020 Outreach

This fall the AdamBots are participating in many outreach activities. One project the AdamBots were involved in was donating Halloween candy to the Treats for the Troops organization. This organization gives Halloween candy to American soldiers serving our country. Another activity we did was donating food to the Neighborhood House Food Pantry to provide Thanksgiving meals to local families in need. Additionally, we will be giving toys to the Rainbow Connection, the Rochester Neighborhood House, and Toys for Tots to help make the holidays more exciting for children in need. We are also donating board games to the Rochester Neighborhood House. Also, the AdamBots are purchasing books to donate to the Girls of the Crescent non-profit. This non-profit was started by Zena and Mena (students on the AdamBots Team) to purchase books with strong Muslim women characters and donate them to schools and libraries. Another outreach opportunity the AdamBots are contributing to is providing coats to the Mosaic Midtown Church in Detroit through the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department. An additional activity we are working on is creating thank you postcards for the MDE State of Michigan FIRST Grants. For this project, as a member of Rochester United (which includes, the Rochester High School FEDS, Team 201 and the Stoney Creek High School Cyber Cats, Team 5436,)  in a thank you postcard campaign to state legislators for their continued support of the MDE FIRST grant. Overall, the AdamBots have been and will continue to be very busy with outreach activities this fall as we help make our community a better place.
