This year the robotics competition will take the form of the at home Skills Challenge. It is still expected to build a robot that can complete this year’s game elements. We plan to utilize some of our design from last year, while improving and adjusting for this year’s game. In addition to the Skills Challenge, there is also a Game Design Challenge, in which robotics teams can submit a complete robotics game that could potentially inspire future FIRST games, and an Innovation Challenge, in which teams have to identify a problem, come up with a solution, build a business model, and deliver a pitch. Unlike the Skills Challenge where the whole team is participating, we have a select group of interested team members who will be completing the Game Design Challenge for our team. For the Innovation Challenge, the Cyber Cats Team 5436 have graciously allowed our interested team member to work with them on the challenge. Our team has also been allowed to start meeting in-person by the school while following safety guidelines.
