2021 FRC Blogs: Build Week 2
Identical to build week one, we had an in-person meeting on Wednesday from 6:30-9:00 and another one on Saturday, which happened in slots, the whole meeting lasted from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. On Wednesday the rollers for the front chute were attached, assembly continued for parts of the hopper and intake. On Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00, the rollers were attached for the chute on the bottom front, and the intake was made and attached. Wednesday and Saturday were great chances for the new students to get a feel of what it’s like to work in the build or CAD rooms. The second slot was reserved for the Game Design Challenge sub-team. Although some of the sub-teams went in person, the Project Management sub-team, the Publicity, and Communications sub-team, the Business Planning sub-team, the Chairman’s sub-team, the Photo/Video sub-team meeting, and the Imagery sub-team all stayed virtual due to restrictions of the room space. Using the survey from last week, Business Planning evaluated the KPIs on how well we did with teaching and mentoring the students and how well we accomplished our core values. Building on from week one, this has been a very productive week and we are proud of what we have achieved.
