Fall Season Blogpost #3
The Adambots are busy at work as they begin their third continuous week in the 2022 Fall season!
The Mechanical subteam worked on a prototype intake to mount on the swerve drive robot, disassembled the field from last year, and put some finishing touches on the swerve drive chassis. The Electrical subteam has been wiring up and adding all of the components such as the CANbus wires and motor controllers needed for the swerve drive cassis to work.
The Programming subteam continued to train the new students. They also started to add joystick controls to the code and got the swerve drive chassis, there was an electrical issue so it was returned back to the electrical subteam.The CAD subteam has been working on catching up all upcomers and giving everyone a chance to learn before the season starts. The subteam makes efforts to keep each meeting interesting while learning new solidworks functions.
The Imagery & Photo/Video subteam continued working on projects and started a mentoring video where they will interview the team about competitions and the robot. Its purpose is to highlight how the Adambots inspire and help the junior teams. They came up with interview questions, and the members filmed mentoring groups.The Business Planning subteam discussed sustainability awards, and looked at how to make a business plan to format into new award criteria. Working on reformatting the business plan, and adding new items to the business plan.The Impact and Communications continued to work on their executive summary as well as publishing their weekly blog posts and making plans for their monthly newsletters.
The Adambots continue their outreach! On the 24th, the Adambots went to Dinosaur Hill to clean up the Halloween event that had just taken place there, Halloween hoot. Also, the Adambots continue their efforts for the Assistance league to help those in need on the 26th.
