Fall Season Blogpost #4
The Adambots continue working hard as the fall season reaches its peak in the amount of work needed to be done. With the Adambots hosting and assisting FLE and FLC tournaments, there is a lot to be done, but like always, the Adambots make it look effortless.
The Mechanical subteam has been working on designing and building a new intake system in preparation for the new FIRST season. The Electrical team has been working on the wiring of the robot in preparation for the christmas parade, they also worked on our robots new swerve drive. This week, the Programming subteam introduced new students to the subteam and gauged student skill levels for programming. They trained them in basic Java/Visual Studio and how to collaborate/communicate with Adambots GitHub repository. Programming wrote most of the swerve drive code and joystick programming, mapped swerve drive chassis ports, and added offsets to wheels. The subteam got the chassis to successfully strafe, move, and turn. In the past week CAD has been working on learning how to use the sheet metal tools and figuring out our printer situation. Some of the senior members have been coming in for swerve drive and helping build the new drive train.
The Imagery Subteam is currently working on team organization structure and finished the core values sheet. Along with working on the Meet the AdamBots slideshow presentation, they are also trying to design a business card with the core values on it. For the photo/video subteam, they uploaded all of the pictures from the Hunger Walk to their google drive. The Business Planning sub-team has been assessing and revising the business plan in order to better fit the criteria for the sustainability award as well as making statistical and informational updates. The Impact and Communication subteam continued to write their 13 question executive summary as well as posting their blog posts weekly.
