Build Season Week #3
Welcome back AdamBots! Progress is showing as the third week had ended. All sub teams are working hard for their respectful jobs as the first competition quickly approaches.
The Mechanical Subteam continued to work on the prototype of the telescoping arm. They also decided to change their design from rack and pinion design down the center between the arms to a rack and pinion design contained in the arms. The CAD subteam is almost done with the arm constraints and is now working on building the claw. The Electrical Subteam redesigned the board and added a second layer to it, took off the old board and replaced it with a new polycarb one, they reinstalled the components in the new board, and connected the power wires and the canbus to test out wiring. The Programming subteam continued to test the arm/claw code using the arm testing board, introduced and programmed encoders, used LimeLight to detect reflective tape and April tags, and used vision detecting for automatic field positioning.
The Impact subteam decided who would be pressing for the impact award as well as continuing to edit the essay and the summary. The Communications subteam sent out their weekly blog posts as well as the January newsletter. The Media subteam worked on updating student and mentor pages given the survey information they had received, finished setting up the game page for 2023, and got ready to create the build season photo gallery for when they get the pictures. The Business Planning subteam continued working towards the sustainability award submissions. The Photo/Video subteam finished editing the headshots that they took a week ago and revised the impact video script. The Imagery subteam finished the electrical, safety, and core value factbook notebook covers, as well as replaced the game logo with the new logo on our yearly posters. They also finish the relay for life and outreach posters.
The AdamBots continue their advocacy as well as their outreach in the communication, not only within the AdamBots but also with Rochester United (Cybercats and The
Feds).
