Build Season Week #4
The Mechanical subteam worked on prototyping their telescoping arm. The prototype was finished and tested this past saturday. The design worked very well and will be put on the s frame so they can test ground pick up. They also worked on organizing their building space. The CAD subteam worked on redoing the arm design originally made to fit the new specifications for Mechanical. The Electrical subteam trained new students as well as organizing the wiring in the robot. They also traded out the single action pneumatics for double action pneumatics on the programming test board. The Programming subteam continued to work on refining the encoders and created trig equations so they don’t have to extend the frame perimeter, they also worked on auto field positioning with reflective tape and april tags, they also created a locked wheels mode for drive train for the charging station.
The Impact/Communications subteam worked on their presentation and practiced their script as well as finishing up edits for the executive summary with the due date approaching fast. The Media subteam created a new page for this season’s photos and published it with the build photos they have so far. They also updated most of the student pages with the new pictures, posted on social media thanking the Long Meadow Elementary for inviting us to their science fair, and also set up a post with some build pictures. The Business Planning subteam focused on fixing the issues they found after reviewing the entire business plan. They then worked on fixing some of the formatting issues, such as the headers not being the same size. After that, they asked Mr. Drummer for pending statistics such as GPA. Lastly, they sent the preliminary business plan to Mr. Drummer. The Photo/Video subteam wrapped up the impact script and finished taking the team headshots. The Imagery subteam got a bunch of stuff approved by Mrs. Mukherjee and Mrs. Drummer and are working to revise the stuff that didn’t get approved initially. They also got some new tasks and will be working on designing the decals soon.
With about 3 weeks left until The AdamBots first competition, we are hard at work with all subteams. Keep up the good work AdamBots!
