Aquarius for 2025
Game Summary
The 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition game, REEFSCAPE presented by Haas, immerses teams in an ocean conservation-themed challenge, consisting of three phases: Auton, TeleOp, and Endgame. In this game, two alliances, each comprising three teams, collaborate to restore coral reef ecosystems by using 2 main scoring elements, algae and coral.
The coral are placed onto the “reef” made out of steel pipes. Each height that the coral is placed onto has a different point value. Level 1 scores 3 points, Level 2 scores 4 points, Level 3 scores 6 points, and level 4 scores 7 points. Algae can be scored with in 2 ways, through the processor and directly into the net. Going through the processor gives 4 points and if 2 algae are scored in each team’s processor, they earn a Coopertition Point (used in breaking ties). When an Algae is thrown directly into the net, they score 4 points. During Endgame, robots are able to score extra points by parking under the Barge (2 points) or hanging on the shallow cage (6 points) or deep cage (12 points). Alliances can score bonus ranking points in other ways as well. In Auton, if all robots leave their starting position, and score 1 coral, they earn an ranking point. In TeleOp, if the alliance scores at least 5 coral on each leave, they earn a ranking point, and if they score 14 normal points using the barge, they gain another ranking point.
