AdamBots Team 245

2025 Outreach

2025 Hunger Walk

Among the AdamBot’s many traditions is our annual Hunger Walk which serves as a ‘foodraiser’. We invite other local robotics teams to participate in this activity. Students bring non-perishable food to supply our local Rochester area Neighborhood House food pantry and walk together through the municipal park to raise awareness.

2025 Christmas Parade

The Rochester Area Hometown Christmas Parade is the largest Christmas parade in Michigan – featuring over 100 entries marching down a one-and-a-half-mile route. Held annually on the first Sunday in December, the AdamBots walk along with our banner, demonstrate our past robots, and promote robotics to tens of thousands of spectators.

2025 Halloween Hoot

Dinosaur Hill is a local nature center which hosts a spooky nature walk during the Halloween season. When they are finished for the season, we help support the center by volunteering as the clean-up crew. With all-hands-on-deck we do the heavy lifting to break down the many displays and save the staff a full day’s worth of work.

2025 Arts and Apple

2025 marks the 60th year of the Arts and Apples Festival in Rochester, Michigan! This celebrated community event is much more than an art fair. The Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) hosts hundreds of artists, art classes, food trucks, and an extensive entertainment lineup for a three-day weekend of fun. For more than ten years, the PCCA has graciously allowed us to host a nearby parking lot to attract visitors and collect parking fees as profit for the use of the team. We are grateful the PCCA allows us this fundraiser to bolster our Sustainability plan. This activity is defined in our plan as the Parking Lot Business.

2025 Gold Rush Tailgate

This Rochester Adams High School Gold Rush Tailgate event held each September is BIG FUN! (That’s one of our Core Values!) The purpose of this event is to invite the children and families from the Adams district to experience what it means to be a Highlander. Our school welcomes thousands of people to this massive tailgate party with food trucks, carnival games, bounce houses, climbing walls, face painting, marching band and dance performances, and much more. The AdamBots are a featured highlight every year – as we put our robots and awesome t-shirt cannon on display – we promote and encourage involvement in one of our many FLL, FTC, and FRC programs.

2025 Assistance League

The Assistance League of Southeast Michigan, located in Rochester, Michigan, was founded more than 30 years ago to provide essentials to those in need in the Detroit metropolitan tri-county area. For many years now our AdamBots have been doing the heavy lifting for this great charitable organization. Literally! Each fall, the Assistance League prepares loads and loads of supplies to be distributed through Operation School Bell®. We show up each week to bring boxes and totes out from the warehouse and load supplies onto the trucks for them, saving them hours of work. We are always happy to help!
