Why did you join the AdamBots?

I wanted to join a club in which I could have a good time with my friends and learn about both technology and business. It was recommended by some of my friends who were on the team, so I thought, “Why not?”

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

Dancing to Will.I.Am’s “#ThatPower” at the FIRST Championship in St. Louis in 2013. Coming at a close second is our alliance partner 4377 using pool noodles as the most effective defense tool at the Troy District, also in 2013.

What have you learned from being on the team?

This team has given me a plethora of lessons in leadership, creativity, teamwork, and a variety of other skills. I’ve learned the value of friendly competition, safety, and both the engineering and business sides of STEM organizations.

What is special about FIRST?

No other program celebrates enthusiasm, diversity, professionalism, and integrity as much as FIRST. To succeed, you not only have to work incredibly hard at bettering yourself, but you have to help others, too.
