FIRST robotics offers a unique experience which is quite unlike any other team or sport out there. It gives an excellent way to spend my time that I get fun and learning out of.

What is your favorite memory from robotics?

My favorite memory was visiting San Antonio for the Alamo Regional competition. Even though it was snowing in Michigan, it was warm and sunny on the river walk.

What have you learned from being on the team?

I’ve learned to work on schedule as a team. Tacking down a schedule and managing to fix and finish everything on time takes a lot of work and cooperation.

FIRST is exciting: it’s an organization that turns a global engineering competition into a fast-paced, compelling sport. It gives everyone involved experience in math, science, and engineering, as well as a strong, supportive community that encourages cooperation as much as fierce competition.
