What are 2 fun facts about you?
My friend and I run the Instagram meme page for the schools XC team: @adamsxcteammemes. You should go follow us, we’re very funny.
I put pineapple on my hamburgers. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried a hamburger with a grilled pineapple ring.
Why did you join the AdamBots?
I joined to learn more about engineering. I stayed because of the friends I made.
What is your favorite team memory?
After the 2019 state championship we stopped at Red Robin to eat. Devin Kent, Ian Hartway, Harry Skroch, and I got a table together, but for whatever reason there was an abundance of silverware, at least 12 sets. Our waiter didn’t know how they got there but he said “you’re a robotics team right? Why don’t you build something?” And build something we did. We created a fork tower full of intricate placement. We may have had to raid Mars’ table for additional knives, but that’s besides the point. While eating we saw highlights of the competition on the TV and we even saw our team. That’s the best dining experience I’ve ever had and I doubt anything can ever top it.
What have you learned from being on the team?
I have learned how to balance training for XC with build an incredible robot. I struggled with time management freshman year, but I made it over that hurdle.
What is special about FIRST or what are you looking forward to this year in FIRST?
The community. The amount of kindness that radiates off of FIRST kids will never cease to amaze me.
