What are 2 fun facts about you?
Satirical writing is my favorite hobby.
The Daily Show keeps me sane.
Why did you join the AdamBots?
I joined the AdamBots to see what it would entail to be an engineer. STEM had always challenged me and enticed me, however, I didn’t know where to start with my learning.
What is your favorite memory from robotics?
I have no favorite team memory, merely because every moment is significant: When the robot jolted during a match and Vishnu screamed that it wasn’t him, rather a ghost, when Nina had to hold my hand at World’s because of my irrational fear of bridges, or when I wrote my mentor’s Woodie Flowers essay and she teared up reading it.
What have you learned from being on the team?
Lately, I’ve learned how to trust myself. With engineering, there’s always potential error. In the beginning this scared me. The fear of being wrong held me back, but with the help of a few team members I have found a new sense of self confidence.
What is special about FIRST?
FIRST enables creativity. It allows us to push ourselves in ways basic academics don’t allow us to, while simultaneously connecting young people to others around the world.
