The team was recognized for it’s mentoring and support of the rookie FTC team at Van Hoosen Middle School. The school is next to Adams and we had members go down each day to help.

Recognition from the City Council of the City of Rochester Hills
After winning at the championship for the OCCRA 2010 season the Adambots were called to a City Council meeting to receive an award from Mayor Barnett and the Council.

During the 2007 FIRST season, Dean Kamen’s homework was to contact political figures to spread the word of FIRST and garner their support. We received several letters from local representatives including Michigan State Senator, Michael Bishop.

Letter from U.S. Representative Joe Knollenberg
During the 2007 FIRST season, Dean Kamen’s homework was to contact political figures to spread the word of FIRST and to garner their support. United States Representative, Joe Knollenberg, responded with a letter and later visited the team’s building location, Siemens VDO.

Letter From Governor Jennifer Granholm
The FIRST 2005 season was one of the best seasons for the Adambots. During that FIRST season, the AdamBots captured a victory at the Detroit Regional. The Governor of Michigan, Jennifer Granholm, sent a letter congratulating the team on their victory and wrote about the importance of the team and FIRST.

Letter from Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard’s Office
During the summer of 2005, the AdamBots graciously accepted an offer to repair “Sarge” the Robot after many years of service. “Sarge” is used by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department at elementary schools to educate children on the importance of different kinds of safety. P.J. Reynolds, who is an Oakland County Sheriff, wrote back to the team, thanking them for fixing “Sarge.”
