Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art is located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas between St. Paul and Harwood. The Museum was established in 1903 by the Dallas Art Association, which exhibited its paintings in the Dallas Library. In 1909, the collection moved to the Free Public Art Gallery of Dallas, at Fair Park. The Museum took up it's current location downtown in 1984. The Museum's collections include the $20 million Hamon Building collection and the $38 million Wendy and Emery Reves Collection. The collections feature works from artists such as Cézanne, Daumier, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec and Van Gogh. The museum also includes over 400 pieces of Egyptian and Nubian art and a 15,000 square foot reproduction of the Reveses' home in France.
